Months of the year vocabulary games

: In addition to that there are listening exercises, English conversation activities to practice questions with 'When?', games for spelling, writing, reading, and more.

This app is great for learning the months of the year in English, but there are 10+ sections to practice the spelling of months, practice pronunciation and to ask about birthdays and holidays throughout the year. The games have sound to help with listening, pronunciation and getting used to natural speaker speed. There are grammar practice sections that provide additional practice and will help to solidify the vocabulary.

This game focuses on months of the year providing a learning section, spelling section, conversation practice games, and grammar games for students. There are different American holidays introduced in the game but students aren't required to spell or know the exact dates of the holidays to complete the activities. The vocabulary building games help students to learn the words, spelling, and increase their vocabulary retention by providing repetition through over ten fun activities and games. TAll of the listening activities are at natural speeds but students can listen to questions and answers as many times as they need to understand. These ESL learning applications follow the Speaking First ESL Curriculum - Unit 15 from MES English.

The questions and answers for this game are as follows.

A: When is Mother's Day?

B: It's in May.

A: Is Halloween in October?

B: Yes, it is./No, it's not.

Other notes:

For the spelling games, the students must enter the months with a capital letter or the game will reject the answer.

There is a strong focus on being able to form the wh- question with "when" in the grammar section of the application

The months are present with a picture of a calendar and the number of the month, so "January" is "1". This is the best way to have images without having the word spelled out already.
