Vegetables vocabulary games

, spelling and question and answer activities to learn English online. Practice spelling, vocabulary, speaking, questions and answers, as well a grammar with these great games and activities.

This game focuses on vegetables vocabulary with four main sections. There is a vegetables vocabulary practice section and a vegetables spelling section. Then, there are vegetables games for conversation practice asking about likes and dislikes, answering questions and games for listening practice. The question and answer games and grammar games are associated with the ESL Young Learners Curriculum - Unit 3.

The questions and answers for this game are as follows.

A: What's your favorite vegetable?

B: I like corn.

A: Do you like corn?

B: Yes, I do./No, I don't.

A: I like corn.

B: Me, too.

A: Do you like corn?

B: No. I don't like corn. I like cabbage.

Other notes:

The spelling game will accept the vocabulary word as is, "green pepper", with an article "a green pepper" and plural forms, "green peppers".

Vegetables can be quite confusing whether it is singular or plural, countable or uncountable.  When using "I like something." the something is generally plural for countable items. The grammar sections uses plural forms for all countable vegetables, ex. "I like potatoes." However, uncountable items do use the singular, ex. "I like corn."  Hopefully, I have done this in a way that isn't confusing for students.

In the grammar section there is a little emphasis placed on learning English punctuation and grammar rules of sentence formation.
